This has been going on for a few weeks now, but last week was the first time I said anything. When I returned this evening Wednesday, December 26th , I asked the same lady at the front desk if someone cleaned the aerobics room. The answer was vague. I questioned her further but was interrupted by a gentleman who claimed that I was being a bully.

The front desk staff should also have asked the gentleman to stay out of the conversation since it was not his business. The only reason this unfortunate situation escalated was because of apathy. As an aside: Was my request even submitted to the cleaning staff? I proceeded to the 5: I asked the other lady at the desk if she works out in that room on a regular basis.

I returned to the aerobics room hoping for the best. I was feeling OK for the first few minutes, but began coughing again once I started breathing in more dusty air. I was forced to leave. I coughed during my walk home and during the writing of this email. This would be unrealistic and unreasonable. I enjoy this gym. However, more effort needs to be made to provide a healthy environment for exercise, especially during aerobic activity.

This is especially true for individuals with compromised immune systems. I have a right to be concerned for my health and expect your staff to take this issue seriously. However, I do expect appropriate follow-through by your cleaning staff asap and an apology for getting brushed off by your front desk.

So, I take partial responsibility for not saying something sooner. I would also appreciate that this email be read to your two staff members who handled this situation in hopes of both rectifying this situation and preventing further health-related issues. I should begin by saying that at his point you have power in my situation as it currently is.

If you choose you can just dismiss my plea and go along with your day as if nothing ever happened. This is when my incredibly long and costly journey began trying to cancel my membership. I completed a message asking to not auto-renew my membership and made sure to include all of my contact information should they need to contact me. I waited a day and received no response. I waited a second day and when I logged in the was 1 notification listed on my webpage but there was nowhere to actually view the actual notification.

I clicked on everything that could possibly be associated with a notification but there was nothing. This was getting frustrating so I decided to go old school and call the gym itself. This was weird because I opened my membership online with no problem. So the first time I called the gym located on memorial in Oklahoma City I was passed around to a few different departments and in the end was placed on hold for so long I had to hang up and call back.

I did have to endure a 5 minute sales pitch before doing that but I sat there politely and listened. I left the gym a bit frustrated but relieved that I had finally completed this task that I have been working on for so long. I first attempted to remedy the issue on the golds gym website and just as before I received no response whatsoever.

I then explained to her that it would have been in August as I had explained to the first person I spoke to. She then said that she would have to search again and call me back the next day. The next came and no call form Abby so I went ahead and called back. At this point I was so frustrated that I asked Abby to have her manager call me the next day at 10 am when she got in.

She said that she would contact her manager name Ashley Gilmore and pass along my message. The next day came and went and I received no call, email or anything. He will not come to the phone. Very rude how being treated. I was not notified by email or mail that my credit card had expired. It expired in August They said they tried calling me by a phone number which was disconnected 8 years ago.

I was told at the gym on Sunday, October 23rd. I live in stlouis as well and many people are having that issue in Kirkwood. They are rude and the Manager told me to F myself. Literally, those words came out of his mouth. I have gotten 20 people to sign up with Club Fitness instead. Much cheaper and nicer.

There is no customer service. Literally none. I have a serious problem with the manager of the North Hollywood location regarding the cancellation of my personal training account. There are two phone numbers, neither is answered. No wonder the holding company has put it up for sale. Great place to work out at. She duplicates her working schedule to his so she never wants to help out at the front desk when we are short or have a call off at night.

The front desk is heavily short staffed and the other associates only want to work there one shift a week so they can get there free gym membership. Assistant General Manager and Front Desk Manager are aware of the short staff at the front desk but want to over staff the kid zone. I quit because I requested a day off over a month prior to the day and 2 days before I was informed that I had to cover the shift some way.

Pretty sad that Corporate allows this to happen on a management level and allow the Assistant General Manager to duplicate her schedule to her boyfriends sales manager schedule. Totally unfair. Was a member of the Tallahassee gym for a few months. Tried to cancel my membership then the manager proceeded to threaten my well being and verbally harass me.

On top of that membership was never cancelled and then they up charged my account without my permission or notice. Basically a horrible experience. I will never join a Golds Gym again in my life. I have been a member of an aquisiton gym in San Antonio, Texas for 11 years. They offered no resolution and have treated me unfairly.

This is a situation I believe management at the location is empowered to tackle. Because they are not I would like some help. My son joined this gym. He went for a while and then went to cancel the membership. This task I find is impossible. That was 4 months ago. They Continue to take out the money.

This month they took out even more money. This business it a total rip off!! I have a complain against a gold gym branch, In Bangalore, India. It is quiet a shameless thing done by the gold gym is that they have temporary closed the gym without giving any prior notice to their member suddenly a day before we have got the notice that tomorrow would be the last day of the gym that is unacceptable from this brand.

Kindly please check the same and refund my amount through cash. The credit card I was using to pay got stolen and I went to pay off my bill and cancel my membership with another card. A month after my membership was supposed to be over they try to Bill my old card again. I go in and speak with the manager who told me to ignore them and that my bill was paid.

The next month I get the same emails about payment so I have to go in again to golds gym where the guy told me that my last months payment I still had to pay. It took me three trips to golds gym to cancel my membership completely…. Today, I went for my regular routine, but when I came back from the steam room a lady was screaming that someone broke into her locker and took her phone.

When I looked at my locker I noticed something odd and unfortunately someone took my iPhone X, my apple watch, my wallet and my Bose earphones. Another lady, screamed that they took her whole bag, another young lady and another lady. I think there was a total of 6 people. The people at the gym were very nice and tried to help us.

One young lady went even beyond her way to track my phone She does the smoothies. I called the police but they never showed up. My problem is that your employees do not know how to react in case on emergencies, they only called some mall securities and told us to fill out a form and that was it.

I know that for your corporation our monthly payment is your priority but today we felt betrayed, confused and helpless. Guess , it is the unity of trainers — which show their sign of strength , that stops the management from taking any action against them. Devon Woods, the Manager at this facility was incredibly rude and started arguing with me about the fact that I question your 1 day guess policy.

The fact that Mr. Devon feels like he can humiliate and antagonize customers is something to be concern of. Your customer service representative at various locations are extremely rude. When I called, I was told that its not their job to help me with my account. The arrogance and not willing to help shows a lot of character of this organization.

I went to the gym yesterday and again today. Tiday a trainer approached me and said he will have a trainer with me today. There was time waste and then a trainer joined me and told me what to do for 20 minutes and offered me private training and I showed no interest. He just left me. I talked to the first trainer who said that today does not count and I have three free sessions only I tokd him no but he insisted.

After the training I talked to the employee in the reception who told me that I have four session not three. He took my name and phone and promised to inform a manager the next day to resolve the problem. After 15 minutes while I was leaving the same employee me tild me that they are three not four and tgar sakes people are confused.

I felt very frustrated and asked fir complaint form. They gave me suggesstiin form. I filed the complaint. While writing, another employee told me that they are four sessions not three. I saw the sales rep who insisted they are four. I hoped to enjoy the gym but I got so frustrated from a captain wants to market his private lessons and from the lack of professionality.

I thought this is a good gem but I am now considering cancelling my membership. I have been taking this class for 16 years when the teacher was at Fitness First in Gaithersburg, and then went to the Olney, MD location before retiring. My issue is that I usually take the elevator to the second floor. The problem is that with the heavy equipment in the hallway creating a hazard, members chose to exercise with heavy barbells or in groups blocking the entrance into the exercise area.

I have left my name and number with the front desk two times, and even had an instructor come up to see the problem when people have left equipment in front of the elevator. First of all, there was no usual signage posted that a training session was taking place. Second, the two trainers in the area were moving equipment and did not seem to be working with anyone. Third, there were maybe three other people who all seemed to be working independently.

Fourth, when asked about no signage, I was advised the area has always been solely designated for training which is a lie as I have been coming off and on for years and that has not been the case. I had also been told that any area was open for use as long as not training session was taking place when I signed up.

The approach of the staff person who asked me to move was not courteous and very abrupt. The manager I spoke with did not even bother to ask my name or offer any solution other than to repeat that it had always been that way. Today I was inside lifting with a hex bar; I had a total of 8 weights on the bar. When I was done I put 7 weights back properly and leaned the last 45lb plate against the rack that was full of weights of all sizes. When I walked away the manager, Drew, came to me in an unprofessional manner and told me if I did not clean the entire rack he would cancel my membership and call the police.

I of course did not comply as I had not put all the weights back incorrectly. I informed him that my membership was paid in full and I was owed dozens of private trainer sessions that I had already paid in advance for. He refused to hear me and instead went and cancelled my membership right then and there, then followed me outside yelling at me that if i ever came back he would have me arrested.

I am still owed a refund or my sessions completed and before I get my attorney involved I wanted to give Golds a chance to rectify this situation. I enjoy that gym, although the management is trash. As someone who always works weekends I need to be at the gym at latest 6am to be able to get a decent work out in and be able to get to work on time.

None of your locations in Austin are open that early anymore on weekends. I understand not wanting to be open 24hrs, but at least 6am on Saturdays. I had a health crisis last year and was put on a medication that made me gain 40lbs. As of was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, after standing on my feet all day at work, my body hurts so working out in the morning is my only option and actually helps me not hurt by the end of my day.

I would like to file a complaint for billing problem. I am a mamber of Golds gym Ogden Utah. Fir the last month they have eliminated CNN from tvs and today have 2 fox news channels and a bunch of sports. I have repeatedly ask why and if they can put pbs, bbc, msn or cnn on one channel. It was a misleading ad. I just want my last charge back and my acct canceled. I go to the Olney, Maryland gym. The front desk employees are fantastic. The people I have found to be unsatisfactory are Ann and her boss Cheryl. Cheryl is not at this specific gym exclusively. I think she oversees several gyms. I also stated that the classes starting on time and ending on time has been a consistent problem.

I would had gladly paid a fee or put her on my membership but those options were not offered to us. A quick check through the El Paso PD blotter discovered two separate calls for domestic abuse on one its personal trainers.

PD also reported possible steroid of the same individual. This info is several months old, but a quick check of the website shows this individual still employed. Of course who would expect an employee to report to his supervisor that he was suspect in a domestic incident over the weekend.

I do not plan to be a member here for much longer. I went in today to hopefully find my new gym. My friends have kindly allowed me stay with them for the weekend while I house hunt. The gym is dirty and over packed but of course you sew different faces all the time because most people that signed up quit and the new ones dont know. I went up to the gold gym to find out why I was overcharged and no one ever said anything to me. The girl proceeded to tell me that we were charged a fee each because of a bank error. I am having a similar situation. My name is Sandra Ford. I went in on October 9 to cancel my membership. I had signed up for water aerobics with a trainer on my Silver Sneakers membership. I went to the gym on October 9th to cancel. Today I called Oct 21 as I have not received the credit. He then told me he misunderstood the refund policy.

My question, do you think a company should make good a promise? I look forward to your reply. This gym is very deceptive they are not making the Gold Gym company look good at all. You can also see this on their Facebook with all the comments. They deceive the client by not explaining everything to them when it comes to the 30 day money back guarantee and once the person gets into a contract and they to use the 30 day money back then they tell them or you in a contract now you cant use the 30 day money back to cancel.

I am a veteran. I just want this to go away. This franchise is making the Corporation look really bad. I make sure to tell anyone I can to steer clear. I received personal training for 6 months. When my 6 month contract ended, I was automatically signed up for a month-to-month contract, which was more expensive.

It was my understanding that I would no longer be charged when the contract ended. I received no notice of the new contract other than the fine print in the initial contract. Yet, when I requested to end the contract early I was informed that I must submit a request in writing and I would be charged an exorbitant fee for early cancellation.

This what is happening to me now. They did not explain what will happen at the end of personal training. Now, they are charging me for PT from June till now. I was interested in joining a new gym after I have been at my current gym for 8 years. The experience was simply unacceptable. I entered the building approximately 7: The front desk was staffed by a young lady who stated her name was Kristin. I asked if there was a sauna at the location and maybe 1 or 2 other simple questions, including how much was the monthly fee.

I stated I was amenable to that and she went to locate him. This was confirmed based on our very short interaction. He asked if the membership was just for myself twice , yes it is. At his desk, there was an open food container, he removed the container, but the top with remnants of foods was left on the middle of his desk.
